who we are

We are a new church bringing the message of Grace and Faith to the Louisville, KY area.

Our goal is to develop a down to earth authentic New Testament Church experience which includes in-depth study of the Word (Bible), Fellowship with other believers, Daily Prayer covering over you and your family...and last but not least, we create an atmosphere that allows you to become part of a close knit spiritual family and develop life long relationships where everyone is there one for another.

Acts 2:42

42 They spent their time learning from the apostles, and they were like family to each other. They also broke bread  and prayed together.

We are a very laid-back, casual congregation of believers and what you see is simply what you get.

Dress Code...No, not really...just come as you are and what you are comfortable with.

statement of faith

1. The Bible:  We believe the Bible is God-Inspired and is our ultimate authority (2Timothy 316-17)

2. The Eternal Godhead: We believe God is Triune: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14).

3. The Fall of Man: We believe that man was created in the image of God, but by voluntary disobedience, fell from    perfection (Romans 5:8).

4. The Plan of Salvation: We believe that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, signing the pardon of all who believe on Him. (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).

5. Salvation Through Grace: We believe that we have no righteousness and must come to God by receiving the righteousness of Christ (Ephesians 2:8).

6. Repentance and Acceptance: We believe that upon sincere repentance and a wholehearted acceptance of Christ and His finished work on the cross, we are justified before God (1 John 1:9).

7. The New Birth: We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is both real and discernible (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20).

8. Daily Christian Life: We believe that it is the will of God that we be sanctified daily, growing constantly in faith (Hebrews 6:1).

9. Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper: We believe that baptism by immersion is an outward sign of the inward work of regeneration (Matthew 28:19). We believe in the commemoration of Christ’s death through the partaking of bread and the juice of the vine, representing His body and blood offered for our salvation.

10. The Fullness of the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is given to supply the believer with power to be Christ’s witness in the world (Acts 2:4).

11. The Spirit-Filled Life: We believe that it is the will of God that we walk by the power and the leading of the Holy Spirit daily (Galatians 5:22).

12. The Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the Christian and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life (1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22).

13. Moderation: We believe that the experience and daily walk of the believer should never lead to extremes or fanaticism (Philippians 4:5).

14. Healing: We believe that divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith (James 5:14-16).

15. Church Relationship: We believe that it is the responsibility of believers to identify themselves with a local expression of Christ’s church (Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25).19. God's Will for Provision

It is the Father's will for believers to become whole, healthy and successful in all areas of life. But because of the fall, many may not receive the full benefits of God’s will while on Earth. That fact, though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of Christ’s provision in order to better serve others.

  • Spiritual

    (John 3:3-11; II Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10)

  • Mental and Emotional

    (II Timothy 1:7, 2:11; Philippians 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3).

  • Physical

    (Isaiah 53:4,5; Matthew 8:17; I Peter 2:24).

16: Eternity: Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

John 3:1636Romans 6:231 John 2:255:11-13Revelation 20:15

17. Evangelism: We believe that leading people to saving faith in Jesus Christ is the most important responsibility of the church (James 5:20)

18. Marriage: We believe marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one man and one woman, instituted by and publicly entered into before God (Matthew 19:4-6).

17: Eternity: Man was created to exist forever. Because of the Finished Work of Jesus on the Cross, He has provided for us Eternal life.

18. Evangelism: We believe that leading people to saving faith in Jesus Christ is the most important responsibility of the church (James 5:20)

19. Marriage: We believe marriage is defined in the Bible as a covenant, a sacred bond between one man and one woman, instituted by and publicly entered into before God (Matthew 19:4-6).

20. As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, we interpret His command, "Resist not evil," by His other teachings on this subject; viz., "Love your enemies." "Do good to them that hate you." "Pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you." "My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight." "All they that take the sword shall perish with the sword." The Bible also teaches us not to avenge ourselves (Romans 12:17-21), that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal" (2 Corinthians 10:4), and that "the servant of the Lord must not strive" (2 Timothy 2:24). Believing that the children of God should imbibe and practice these teachings, we hold that Christian people should have no part in carnal warfare of any kind or for any cause.

In our Confession of Faith, the position of our church is defined as follows:

Regarding revenge, whereby we resist our enemies by the sword, we believe and confess, that the Lord Jesus has forbidden His disciples and followers all revenge and resistance, and has thereby commanded them not to "return evil for evil, nor railing for railing"; but to "put up the sword into the sheath," or, as the prophets foretold, "beat them into plowshares." Matthew 5:39, 44; Romans 12:14; 1 Peter 3:9; Isaiah 2:4; Micah 4:3.

From this we see, that, according to the example, life, and doctrine of Christ, we are not to do wrong, or cause offense or vexation to any one; but to seek the welfare and salvation of all men; also, if necessity should require it, to flee, for the Lord's sake, from one city to another, and suffer the "spoiling of our goods," rather than give offense to any one; and if we are struck on our right cheek, rather to "turn the other also" than to revenge ourselves or return the blow. Matthew 5:39, Matthew 10:23; Romans 12:19.

And that we are, besides this, also to pray for our enemies, comfort and feed them, when they are hungry and thirsty, and thus by well doing convince them and overcome the evil with good. Romans 12:20-21,

Finally, that we are to do good in all respects, "commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God," and according to the law of Christ, do nothing to others that we would not wish them to do unto us.—2 Corinthians 4:2; Matthew 7:12; Luke 6:31.

Not only do we not believe in killing in participation of any war, but we also are against abortion as well for these same reasons. So to ask us to participate in war or abortion or any of form of killing goes totally against our beliefs and church statement of faith as New Covenant Believers.
